Reviews and Ratings
My stay at this hotel was great overall. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable, and I appreciated the shared facilities being well-kept. However, I did find the walls a bit thin, which sometimes made for a noisy night. The access to thermal pools was a lovely bonus, and the location near the Maori village was perfect for exploring.
The hotel had a decent location and we enjoyed the hot pools, but it felt quite run down and the staff could use a refresher on cleanliness and friendliness. The lack of bathroom in our initial room was a major letdown, and we felt the additional charges for basic amenities like Wi-Fi were unreasonable. Overall, it's not a place I'd choose to stay again.
Our stay in the cabin was absolutely delightful! The room was even better than what we saw online, and we loved cooking in the kitchenette. It felt great to enjoy some time outdoors with our toddler in a tranquil environment, although we wished for hot water in the shower. Overall, great value for our stay!
I stayed for two nights in a cabin ensuite room, but unfortunately, it was quite cold and felt damp. The heating situation was poor, and the staff weren’t as helpful as I hoped. On the plus side, the rest of the facilities were adequate, though I’d recommend considering other options in Rotorua if you're just looking for a room.
The hotel is a lovely spot with active geothermal features right in the field, and the natural hot tubs were a real highlight for unwinding after a long day. However, the cramped van area and limited shower hours during busy times were drawbacks. Overall, it offers a unique experience but could use improvements in space and facility access.
